Letterpress

Using the handmade paper made during Paper Lab, first-year Graduate Fellows learned to letterpress at the Western New York Book Arts Center in Buffalo, NY. We selected a class quote and then transferred our quote and design onto a printing plate. The ink was mixed, then applied to the press printing plate. Our handmade paper was used to print the design and each of us had an opportunity to roll the press.
